Looking to Help?

Champions for Change and it’s various sub-committees are involved in a number of projects. We welcome anyone who has some time, talent or abilities that they would like to see put to good use in the community. They range from volunteers who have some governance experience and enjoy sitting on the board, to artists who could play at our outdoor lunch concerts, to the “hands-on” volunteers who want to spend their time involved in a particular activity (graffiti clean-up).

We invite you to attend one of our meetings to come and meet the group and to see what you might be interested in. At that time we will bring you up to speed on our current activities and then you can decide how best you would like to be involved.

The door is always open to anyone with an idea to share, energy to burn or a passion that they feel could result in a community project. We generally meet at 5:30pm on the third Monday of the month at the Community Futures Building. Call Penny at 780-645-5782 and she can confirm the time and location.

Current projects in which we are looking for volunteers include: Family Day activities, Canada Day activities, Thrive on Wellness Project, Youth art project, Banner making project, Outdoor Concerts, Graffiti Reduction and Clean-up.
